Army Showcase: Chaos Dwarfs!

I knew this day would come.

I have finally finished my Chaos Dwarf army!!!

All 2,644 points of it.

I'm not going to blabber on. I'll let the pictures speak for me.

Needless to say, I am looking forward to my next game!

Watch this space!

  1. Very nicely done up Chaos Dwarf army mate.. something to be proud of indeed ( especially the destroyers! ).
Only things that I fear is that you are light on the cores ( more CDs could help, and don't underestimate Hobgoblins! ), and that your Bull Centaur is not based properly. Now that they are classified as Monstrous Beasts, they should be on 50mm's not on cav bases.
Keep it up, and looking forward to the bat rep of your next game!

  2. Hey,

Thanks for the feedback. Although the army is legal in terms of the number of core (I get the feeling Warhammer Forge decided to do high point elite Infernal Guard to encourage people to buy as they wouldn’t need so many), I know what you mean. I will do more Chaos Dwarfs at some point, and though they’re a bit rubbish, it would be nice to have some Hobgoblins, for variety and background purposes. I was just looking at the new Mantic Goblin Spearmen actually. When I do it I’d want them to look different from GW goblins and those might do nicely. Though they’re a bit pricey.

As for the Bull Centaur. That’s very interesting and something that hadn’t occurred to me. Thank you. I am REALLY hoping Warhammer Forge bring out some nice models for these soon, or even Mantic.

    Thanks again!

  3. Glad to help, and yes I meant not in legality but in just pure numbers. For HGs, the Mantic ones are nice, but expensive since they are metal and are 15 gbp for 10.. sadly GW is cheaper there. A friend picked up these guys http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/myths-and-legends/orc-warband and they seem pretty good. He is also using the mantic models, and they seem to fit in nicely with them. Best part is they are much cheaper.
Hope that helps, and again, great army mate! Love the metal coloring that you have gone with, especially on the destroyers.

  4. Wow! I’m really liking those potential hobgoblin models! I’m tempted to buy some now!

I know what you mean about numbers. But on the other hand, I’m really curious to see how an army fares with so much hard-as-nails elite stuff and so little available ranks and numbers. I guess we’ll see soon enough…
