One of the greatest warriors the Old World has ever known, Morgrim remains aloof from Dwarfen society. The Dwarfs, as a race, value tradition above all things but still, much has changed in the millennia since Morgrim was born, filled with myriad subtle changes in speech and deed. These times befuddle and frustrate Morgrim but there are things that he will always understand: the feel of sharpened blade meeting Elven flesh being first among them.
Morgrim hates Elves and it is this emotion that defines and drives him. His entire being is focused on delivering his vengeance on the Elven nation in general and Maglor Telemnar in particular. He will never stop until his arch enemy is dead and gone. Despite this obsession, Morgrim still cares deeply for his bloodline and his hold, Karak Hirn. He would always prefer to fight Elves but will eliminate lesser foes if necessary to protect those he cares about or to protect the cause of righteousness.
Leading the way on the eastern front of the Dwarfen realm, Morgrim rides into battle atop Thurvar, his mighty bear. Dwarf and bear together constitute an indomitable combination, able to defeat even the most powerful of foes.
Morgrim’s entire story can be read in the History of the Dwarfs of Horn Hold and the Elves of Bloodroot Forest.

MAGIC ITEMS
Twin Axes of Kantuz (Magic Weapon)
Morgrim's axes do not grant additional attacks beyond those listed in his profile, however in combat he may reroll misses and always counts have having sufficient strength to wound opponent's on a 2+ (including bonuses to penetrating armour as a result.
Armour of the Broken Moon (Magic Armour)
Morgrim wears magically imbued Gromril armour which, when combined with Thurvar's barding gives him a 1+ save.
Designer's Note: The rules for Morgrim are actually pretty much straight out of the rulebook. He's a Dwarf Lord with a choice of runes that give him the stats above. I based Thurvar on the polar bear from the old Kislev army book that came free with White Dwarf a few years ago. I find Special Characters that are too powerful a bit annoying. Morgrim is powerful enough to fit the background without being too overwhelming or using up too much of the army quota.
